House Anna Houhlia

Our kid loved staying here, especially the swings in the yard, and the beach is only 20 meters away. There’s lots of room to park and a huge yard. The apartments were nice and clean, and the hosts were very polite and friendly. A great choice for a family holiday. I highly recommend Anna Houhlia Apartments.

The biggest frustration was going five days without working air conditioning. It only blew hot air, and after a technician came the next day, the problem still wasn’t fixed. The staff didn’t speak English, so we had to contact another person through Viber and email. When I told her the AC still wasn’t working, she stopped replying. That lack of follow-up made an already bad stay worse. The toilet wasn’t hygienic, the hot water flow was very low, and the internet was slow and unstable. It was also noisy at night, with cars constantly passing around. Trying to sleep in all that noise without working AC and with no relief was awful. These are the reasons for my low rating.

We spent 18 nights at Anna Houhlia house in June and had a wonderful stay. Mrs Vangelia and Mr Jorgos were warm and honest, and we shared moments that felt almost like family. They’re lovely with children. The garden is exquisite, with barbecues and a playground, and the garden house is comfortable and well maintained. The estate has everything a family needs for a relaxing holiday. It’s near Nikiti and Agios Nikolaos, where there are tavernas and shops, and just 20m from a sandy beach. Other beautiful beaches in Vourvourou, like Karidi and Fava, are about 1km away. We’ll come back in the years ahead.

The woman running the villa was warm and very helpful, and the price felt fair for what we got. It’s a nice, clean, well-maintained place for a holiday, well located for visiting beaches on the east cost of Sithonia.
