Sarti Paradise

The restaurant is right on the beach, with a great view of the sea. The food was okay, but it could have been much tastier. I was especially disappointed by the zucchini, which was over-fried and oily.

The beef brisket, which was the Saturday special, was really good. The food was amazing, and the view was just as impressive. The serving even came with four pork skewers.

The veranda view is incredible, and everything about the meal was awesome. The beef was tender and the shrimp were excellent. My husband said they were the best he’d ever had. The child’s chicken nuggets were more like chicken schnitzel, which was actually better than the usual nuggets.

We found this restaurant in the newer part of Sarti and were glad we did. Over three days, every dish we tried had distinctive flavor and top-notch quality. The squid from the Northern Aegean Sea, shown in the photo, were probably the best we’ve ever eaten. The craft beer is exceptional and hard to find along the coast. It went especially well with the fried flying squid, cod pastirma, and crispy zucchini, though I may not have the dish names quite right. There’s a beautiful view of the sea and Mount Athos, and the restaurant feels less stuffy than the places in the center, which added to the good mood.
