The city felt cozy, and even in summer it wasn’t very crowded. We especially loved its beautiful waterfront and the many tavernas serving very good food. We’ve visited all the main cities of Crete, and Sitia is our favorite. The accommodation itself had modern furnishings, nice decor, and everything we needed within walking distance. Communication with our Host was very good. We spent half our stay in the smaller studio, with two wonderful terraces and an amazing view. It’s a great summer place for two, though it might feel cramped in winter. It was well equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, and more. The second studio, 38m2, was also very comfortable in winter.

Free parking was conveniently available near the port, and we even had a lovely glimpse of the ocean despite not booking a sea-view room. This was our favourite place to stay in Crete. It was spotless, spacious, beautifully presented, and had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. Little touches like the delicious Cretan biscuits made it feel especially thoughtful.

Right in the heart of Sitia, there’s a cozy group of apartments with modern facilities and a nice view, suitable for almost any season. The owner communicated quickly, and prices around the city are moderate for a city break. It works well for individuals or families. Sitia has local restaurants and that feeling of being at the edge of Europe, with mountains nearby and a nice beach too. It can get busy, yet still feels a little remote.

The host was wonderful, and we found a thoughtful gift at our door. Althea Suites is quiet and in a perfect spot right on the port, close to restaurants and shops. The apartment is beautiful, luxurious, spotless, and very comfortable, with all the amenities you could need. I highly recommend staying here.

On our three months of travel through Europe, this was one of our best stays. The property was excellent, and so were the location and the view. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Sitia, Rhobes, Greece.
