The neighborhood is really peaceful, and Manos gave us great tips on places to eat, visit, and snorkel. We had everything we needed in the flat to feel comfortable, and it made our holiday in this part of Crete all the better. A great place to stay in Sitia.

We paid 65€ for our stay, so I felt we had every right to mention a few downsides in our 9/10 Booking.com review. That was never meant as a personal attack. Now my husband and I have been accused of stealing plastic bags because the owner was angry about that review. I found his response very unkind and beyond comprehension.

Booking.com asked what we liked and didn't like, and I had every right to describe my stay honestly. It wasn't free, after all. I gave the residence a 9/10, yet the owner accused me of taking a pack of trash bags. I'm shocked by how rude he was. From what I've seen on Booking.com, this isn't the first time he's gotten angry with guests, even over 9/10 or 10/10 reviews. He needs to accept criticism and pay attention to the overall rating instead of fixating on what we mentioned. Accusing us of something untrue because he disliked my review is ridiculous.

The apartment was fully equipped, and the host was very friendly. Getting there was a bit tricky: skip Google Maps' route through the city center and come around from the Sitia Airport side instead.

Manos was a great host and tourist guide. The modern apartment is lovely, fully equipped, and in a quiet, relaxing part of Siteia. I'll definitely come back.
