Greek Pride San Giorgio Apartments

I expected little because I’d read bad reviews, but by the end I was delighted with the hotel. Our child loved the female room, a duplex on the second floor. We’d never stayed in that kind of room before. It was large and set among olive trees, and had everything we needed to cook: an electric stove, kettle, frying pans, a lidded pot and even a grater. There were enough dishes, with more plates brought on the second-to-last day. Some things may not have been new, but everything was comfortable and convenient. I’m sincerely grateful to the Ukrainian women in administration and cleaning. They kept the place clean and comfortable throughout the day, taking out even a small amount of rubbish every day. These are apartments, so cleaning and linen changes are once a week. We had cleaning supplies in the room and could sweep ourselves if we spilled something or made a mess. That didn’t bother or annoy me at all. Furka is entirely tourist-oriented, with two large supermarkets, several small ones, shops, restaurants and fast food. There was enough for us, and I liked that things were quite clean, which isn’t always the case in Greece. Compared with Greek Pride Themelis, where we stayed the following week, Greek Pride San Giorgio is more conveniently located because it’s closer to the sea and Greek Pride Seafront, where we had breakfast. We went to Greece for the first time and stayed in both five-star accommodation and apartments with cockroaches in Paralia Katerina. We concluded that you can only vacation in Greece if Ukrainians provide the service, because if it’s Greek there will be “nuances.” We spent the first week at Greek Pride San Giorgio and the second at Greek Pride Themelis, which I’ll write about later. It’s a very cool hotel chain, and you can use each other’s grounds, beaches and pools. I recommend this hotel and the Greek Pride chain in general if it’s still available in Halkidiki. Between Greek Pride San Giorgio and Greek Pride Themelis, I still recommend the first one.

We stayed from 7 to 14.09.2025 and liked the hotel. The room was nice, the location was convenient, and the sea was very close.

The terrace facing the garden is the only thing that really deserves attention. I definitely wouldn’t choose this place again. The excellent reviews and tour operator descriptions aren’t about San Giorgio. It isn’t 50 m from the beach. People are simply shown another hotel in the chain, the one on the first line, but that’s not San Giorgio. The first-floor rooms need at least a basic update. I’d give it three stars only if they cleaned properly; otherwise even three is too generous. If they fixed the bathroom and cleaned thoroughly instead of just sweeping dust where it shows, it might earn two stars.

A terrible hotel. The room smelled bad and was untidy, with signs of previous guests still there. When we arrived, the rusty stove, range hood and very old kettle were the first things we noticed. There was a pair of women’s tweezers on a shelf, apparently left by someone before us, and a strange tablet tucked into a crack that I was afraid to touch. Who knows how long it had been there? The bathroom had soap and shampoo that smelled quite nice, but there was also a torn mosquito net and a layer of dust. The owners had left a full cleaning kit, so we could do the cleaning ourselves. The bin was full of rubbish from the previous guests. Toilet paper was provided. Sleeping was unpleasant. The room was cramped, and they’d added a rusty folding bed with creaky springs that hurt your back and bothered the other guests too. The bedding smelled strange, and nearly every towel had stains of different colors and sizes. The wiring didn’t work properly either. In our case, the lights either wouldn’t turn on or seemed to be connecting to Mars instead.
