The apartment was spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen, hot water around the clock, and a terrace beside the sea. The beach is across the road, with taverns nearby. Our hosts were welcoming and sociable, and we had a wonderful week on our first self-catering holiday. We’d love to come back!

Roula and Socrates were so warm and helpful that we felt like we were staying with friends. The room was spotless, with fresh towels and clean sheets every day. The host cleaned the property daily, too. Our double room was gorgeous, recently renovated, tastefully decorated, and cozy for a couple. It had everything we needed, including cutlery, dishes, a coffee machine, toiletries, AC, TV, and a fridge. The location is excellent, right on Skala Maries Beach, with the sea less than a minute away. The balcony faced the beach and was lovely for meals, quiet moments, and watching sunrises and sunsets. Tavernas, a supermarket, and a bakery were about a minute away, with two more beaches within a 5-10 minute walk. We felt very lucky to experience such warm Greek hospitality.

We were a family of six and had a great five days in the apartment. It was clean and cozy, with a lovely host. There’s a nice kitchen, two large bedrooms, and a washroom with a shower, toilet, and washing machine. You can walk to three beaches, restaurants, and a supermarket. We rented a car in THessaloniki, took it to Thassos by ferry from karamuti, then returned it in Thassos through “Potos” rentals. I’d recommend this place to friends.

Hercules House - Ilio Socrates is a perfect base for a Thassos holiday, just 30 seconds from the beach. The rooms are spacious, have all the facilities you need, and are exceptionally clean. Laskarina and Socrates are wonderful hosts who make you feel at home. You arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.
