A terrible experience. I was moved here because Rachoni Beach Hotel had run out of rooms. That meant going from a hotel right on the beach to one where I had to walk 10 minutes and cross the road illegally. The other hotel included breakfast and dinner, but this one only had breakfast, and they told me to go to the other hotel for dinner. The building seemed to have been opened in a rush, with several things unfinished: lights not installed, decorations attached with cardboard, no glass between the balconies, and parking along the main road because the road wasn't finished.

The food was a complete nightmare. Wasps were everywhere, crawling on plates, which felt quite dangerous. There wasn't much choice, and the coffee machine was always empty. The staff were not Greek but temporary workers from Ukraine, and they served us very reluctantly, as if handing out drinks was a burden. I was here with my wife and daughter, and until this trip we'd always been happy in Greece. Hotel Rachoni Amazing was a disaster. The room's air conditioner hadn't been cleaned and smelled like a train toilet when switched on. We told the delegate, who said he'd fix it, but nothing changed, so we went the whole holiday without air conditioning. I regret not taking the warning reviews seriously. I thought people were just too spoiled, but I was wrong.

July 2025 Our stay was a major disappointment. The hotel was sold as all inclusive, but there was no kitchen on site. Food arrived in an old Renault from a sister hotel, alongside other things unrelated to food, which seemed completely unhygienic. There was no way to keep it warm. At breakfast and dinner the sausages, eggs, and meat were cold. Drinks were limited, and even regular soda wasn't included in the all-inclusive offer. The small amount available at the bar gradually ran out, and staff did nothing to sort it out. There were also few sun loungers, despite the offer saying they were free, and they were often taken by people who weren't hotel guests. At reception and the pool bar, the women on duty didn't speak English, so communication was practically impossible. When we arrived, there weren't enough sheets for everyone, and there were towels for only two people although the room was for four. The delegate got us sheets after an emergency, but didn't deal with the other problems. We complained, and were told this was standard for a 3* hotel. That doesn't make cold food, unhygienic conditions, or the lack of a kitchen acceptable. Travel agencies, including Fischer/DER Touristik, should not be offering it as all inclusive. It felt misleading, especially since the hotel doesn't even have a kitchen. I'd avoid it if you don't want to lose your money, patience, and holiday expectations. I have attached photos showing the problems.

The location is good, just a short walk from the sea, and the rooms are nice. But the all-inclusive food was a disaster. Breakfast was the same each day. Ham, cheese, and similar items sat uncovered on plates from early morning until the end of service, with no air conditioning and no cooling equipment. We didn't feel comfortable eating them. The woman wiping tables then put out more cheese with no gloves and without washing her hands. The eggs and sausages were cold, and lunch and dinner were much the same for the whole week, with only about two meals to choose from. We suspected meat from the day before was being served again, and it didn't taste good. It was cold too. I only had salad, and even the bottle marked Extra virgin olive oil seemed to contain a clear, tasteless liquid. Maybe it was sunflower oil, but I can't be sure. A real shame in Greece. Refrigerated foods like ham should be kept properly chilled and covered; leaving them out like that is against hygiene rules and could put guests' health at risk. We ended up eating elsewhere. The hotel is new and has potential, but the owners should replace the staff running it or stop offering food. In the family room, there's no AC on the top floor, just a fan, and it gets quite hot under the roof. The AC downstairs doesn't reach up there. The mattress sheets are too small, so we woke up to a dirty mattress during the night. The island is otherwise very beautiful, and I recommend renting a car.

It's a very nice new hotel on raised ground. There were hardly any staff around, and the ones there seemed overworked and unmotivated. All-inclusive food was desperately poor, almost nonexistent, so we chose to eat at nearby restaurants instead.
