The apartments are perfectly placed for getting around all of Skala. I spent four nights here, and the owners were very pleasant and helpful, especially understanding about our late check-in. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

What brought us back to Kate - Marie studios after our first two days was Scala's huge beach, with clear water and plenty of room, plus a quiet apartment right in the center. A few minutes' drive from the village there's also a huge, unorganized fine-sand beach that felt like paradise. The apartment is just a few minutes' walk from the main beach, and we heard no noise at all. On our first stay we had an upstairs room with a lovely balcony. When we returned, we stayed in the newly modernized rooms. They were well insulated and naturally cool, so we didn't need the air conditioning. The beds were super comfortable, the wifi worked really well, and everything was very clean. It looks much better in person than in the photos. Best of all were the owner and his family, and getting to meet their friends and cousins. Every bit of advice and every recommendation we got was relevant. Thank you, Dori, for everything. We'll definitely come back. Strongly recommend the place.

We'd never been to kafilona before, and skala turned out to be a fantastic traditional place to visit. The studio's was great, and the owners were really pleasant and made us feel at home. Our room was brilliant, though we definitely needed the air conditioning. The restaurants were brilliant too, and there were no English bars serving roast dinners, which is a plus. We'll definitely go back.
