Pension MANGO

The view is beautiful and we had a good time, even with a few little issues. There was no hot water and the blanket was very thin, but they fixed both after we mentioned them. Breakfast didn't have much variety.

The pool area and its surroundings felt cold and purely functional, not somewhere we wanted to spend time. The hotel gave the impression it had been built quickly just to make money, with no passion or welcoming atmosphere. Rooms were clean, but that was the only positive. They still felt unloved and very basic. The badly designed shower flooded the bathroom, and there was nowhere to put things apart from by the sink. Breakfast was poor and the same every day, with everything wrapped in plastic. Even the baguette and bread seemed old and bad. The staff didn't really understand English or couldn't manage things well. When we arrived, our room had already been taken, so we spent one night in another room without a window, which was really bad. We'd booked five nights at Mango after deciding spontaneously to spend our holiday on Skiathos Island, when there weren't many options. Don't do it!

The apartment was clean and the staff polite, but the dirty hot tub didn't work, and it ruined the stay. We chose this room specifically to have a backup for bad weather. The weather was bad, so we couldn't use it at all. We complained and asked for a refund several times, but got no support, solution or reply. A huge disappointment that ruined our holiday.

We had a wonderful time here with our family, and I hope we can return. The place is peaceful and comfortable, with everything in walking distance, including the beach. The rooms are stylish and new, with a mini kitchen, basic appliances and a very useful fridge. They're cleaned and the towels changed every day, and the staff are really kind and helpful. There's a wonderful sea view from the balcony, and the pool is fantastic with enough sunbeds. The women at the poolbar are extremely nice and friendly. I'd highly recommend it for families with small children too.
