The location near the port and nightlife is the only real plus. The bathroom smelled strongly of drains as soon as we entered. There was a clump of someone’s hair on the sink, the toilet seat was coming off, and the wall shower bracket was hanging loose, leaving the shower head balanced on the faucet. It leaked badly at its base, and the switch between shower and tap was missing. Both the shower drain and bathroom floor drain were filthy and stinky. We were also told on arrival that to get hot water we had to switch on the water heater at the electricity board in the corridor. The mattress had just one stained sheet on it. We found another sheet to sleep under, but there was none to sleep on or one made into the bed. There were about 10 grubby-looking throw cushions and no pillowcase on the pillow. The beds were uncomfortable, the fridge noisy, and with no double glazing and very thin walls, don't expect to sleep before 2am, if at all. We got mugs and a kettle, but no tea, coffee, water or anything like that.

The balcony view and the location are wonderful, but I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms are very basic and need updating. My room wasn't properly cleaned, and I wasn't given fresh towels or a clean bathroom mat. After a very hard day of travelling around Greece for a month alone with my two very young children, the host was rude and impatient while showing me to the room. I had several bags and a buggy, but she said they were too heavy for her, so I carried them all while making sure the children could manage the stairs. Even help with two bags would have meant a lot. Coming back from the beach to a room that hadn't been cleaned and having to shower with dirty towels was a huge letdown. Once, our towels were taken away and not replaced, so I contacted the hosts to ask for new ones immediately. They brought them over very quickly, and I appreciated that.

A comfortable place in a brilliant location. The hot water is solar heated, but we had no trouble with it. The WiFi was good enough for work, and we'd happily stay again.

The room was lovely, and the location was spot on, right opposite the bus stop and ferries, with shops and tavernas just outside. The host was lovely too. Thanks so much, hope I can come back soon 😊 Gaynor
