The thing that stood out most to us was how thoroughly clean the whole place was, right down to the sheets, pillowcases and towels. The owner was kind and happy to answer all our questions. We had an excellent stay at Michalis Apartments, and I highly recommend it. I'll come back now that my daughter is a student at the Technical University of Crete. It's only a short distance from the port of Souda. By car, Kounoupidiana and the Technical University of Crete are 13 minutes away, Chania old town is 12 minutes, and Agia Marina beach is 18 minutes. The house had nearly every comfort we could think of: a fridge, washing machine, stove, microwave, cooking utensils, coffee maker, kettle, iron and ironing board, plus a 45” smart TV and a powerful large air conditioner. There wasn't an air conditioner in the bedroom, but the one in the living room cooled the whole house well.
