Stathopoulos Apartments

We found everything we needed in the clean, really cute apartment. It’s in a quiet little village close to the beach. Mrs. Rena was such a kind and helpful host. She welcomed us with Greek dessert, then brought red eggs and sweet bread for Easter. If everyone were like her, the world would be a better place.

We stayed for over a week and still remember Mrs. Rena with love. She was such a lovely hostess, lending us a climbing guide, helping us start the car when its battery was flat, and pointing us toward local markets. The place is quiet and close to the beach and harbor. The kitchen could have had more dishes, but otherwise we were very happy. I hope I can come back, highly recommend.

I booked an apartment for seven nights over Easter through Booking. The reservation had no free cancellation, and there weren’t any places in the area offering it. Then I broke my knee ten days before the trip and asked the host if she could cancel and return at least some of the money. I explained that if nobody booked the apartment, she would at least save on cleaning and utilities. She wouldn’t even consider it, and wanted the full payment. A few days before Easter, the villa was fully booked, so I’m sure she could have had other guests in our apartment. It seemed easier for her to keep my money. I needed knee surgery that would cost at least 4,000 euros, and even 50 or 100 euros back from the 300-plus I’d paid would have helped. She also marked us as a no-show on Booking, I guess because she was worried about my review, so I didn’t get the 20 euros Booking cashback either.

The village is lovely and quiet, and the beach is only a minute away. We had a cosy, comfortable apartment with a terrace, garden, and fully equipped kitchen. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, looking after everyone like family. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ll be back for sure!
