Diplomats Holidays

We’ve been coming here for four years and plan to keep returning. The rooms are new, very clean, and nicely arranged, and the restaurant is in a great spot with a good selection at reasonable prices. It’s lovely for a family holiday: the small beach is clean, and the calm, beautiful sea is great for swimming and SUP.

The garden is beautiful, and you can follow an easy path on foot to the village of Horto or take another path down to a very quiet little beach. The hotel sits on a hillside, so expect slopes and plenty of stairs, but there are two private parking areas. The sea is usually calm, with a few exceptions, because of the area’s geography. I’ve visited diplomat's holidays three times over the years. It belongs to a close friend, so I’ll try to be fair: the rooms are traditional and old, but very clean and well maintained. The bathrooms have also been renovated more than once. You can also walk to the lovely cult cafe-bar Kazablanca!

Apart from the change of apartment, we had a great holiday. There are a few nice pebble beaches, a good pool, and a small restaurant, though nearby restaurants have better choice and value. I highly recommend the community restaurant on the Argalasti town square. We’d booked almost 8 months ahead and were told on arrival that we had to move for the final three days. We’d expected, and been promised, a similar place, so we agreed. The second apartment was smaller and didn’t have the same privacy or beautiful see view. The owner wouldn’t help us out, saying she’d rented the better apartments to regular guests.

For me and my Greek family, this hotel feels like paradise. Maria, the owner, always pays attention to what we need. This was our 3rd year coming here. We love the place, and the beach is crystal clear and wonderful 😊❤
