Ta Dokana

Breakfast is homemade with local products, and Mrs Demetra is such a warm, welcoming, kind hostess. The lodge is clean and cosy, and its location makes it ideal for exploring Pelion Mountain. Highly recommended.

Pinakates is a lovely traditional village, with distinctive architecture and a wonderfully peaceful feel. My children, aged 7 and 11, wandered around and loved walking through it. Everything is close by, and it felt safe, with local residents who know one another. The guesthouse, Ta Dokana, sits by the village square, near the centre, bakery, cafes, and restaurants. There’s parking, and pets are welcome. The accommodation is spotless, tidy, spacious, and well equipped for a relaxing stay in any season. The owners are kind and helpful, while keeping a discreet presence. The shared areas have panoramic views across Pagasitikos and the green Pelion landscape. We were a family of four, and the children went wild for Mrs. Dimitra's breakfast. I even used the guesthouse towels for them, which says a lot, as I usually bring our own sheets and towels. The area feels like a journey through time, set in the lush Pelion of the Centaurs, with natural springs, well-kept paths, and routes to explore. It’s close to famous beaches on both Pagasitikos and the Aegean, as well as tourist spots for summer and winter. The road to Pinakates is easy and modern, without many long bends.

The hostess, Mrs. Dimitra, was friendly, pleasant, and always ready to help. The room was cute, the breakfast generous, and the guesthouse has a unique spot above the square with a view of Pagasitikos. Thank you so much for everything!

Unlike places with rather poor decor, the dokanas have a style that fits the area's homes and natural surroundings. It feels like a fresh breeze bringing something new, arriving without waiting.
