Pyrgos Of Mystra Hotel

The staff were so welcoming and kind, and they know a lot about the area. It's also a great base for visiting the surrounding villages. Pyrgos of Mystras was clean, quiet, and quaint, just the slower pace I wanted. It's about an 8 min drive from the center, and after staying here, I don't think I'll stay in town again. Don't miss this little gem. Highly recommend!

The little garden, with fruit trees, grapevines, and flowers, gives this place a peaceful, warm feel. Breakfast had delicious homemade local specialties, like being fed by your grandmother. The old mansion has been turned into a hotel with every detail carefully considered, and the atmosphere makes you feel as though you've stepped back in time while still enjoying modern comfort. Everything was spotless, and the service was outstanding. A remarkable place to stay in Mystras.

The bed was very comfortable, with a firm base and cushioned pillow top, and they provided extra pillows. The toiletries felt luxurious, and the view was restful and beautiful. We travel full time as a couple, and value location, service, good wifi, and comfortable furniture. This is a beautiful historic home, tastefully converted into separate suites. Breakfast was homemade, with a broad choice of proteins, fruit, and pastries. The coffee was excellent, and Maria works hard to make everyone feel at home. The breakfast room is quite small and feels enclosed. The bathtub and shower combination felt precarious, with an approximately 18" step down into the tub and nowhere to hold on. There are lots of stairs to enter the building and reach the rooms, so it isn't suitable for people with mobility challenges. A neighbor's dog barked outside our window for two hours straight, from 2-4am on both nights we stayed. Maria knows about the situation and is working with the neighbor to try to resolve it, but guests should be aware that their sleep could be badly disturbed.

The room was lovely and clean. Mrs Maria was kind, polite, and excellent at her job.
