Sparta Inn

We came to Sparta with a group of around 90 people, and everyone agreed this hotel was the low point of our trip through Greece. The food was horrible, apart from the breakfast, which was just okay. The manager was kind, but the stay was otherwise truly awful, the worst hotel I've ever been in. The rooms were old and badly in need of refurbishment. The bathrooms were terrible and had a lot of mold. Some beds were just wooden planks with a thin mattress, while others had a broken mattress with springs sticking out. Throughout our two-day stay, we were constantly worried about using the showers and about the room hygiene.

Friendly staff and a convenient location make this a good choice in Sparta, and the rooms are reasonably priced. Several restaurants and bars with great nightlife are less than a block away. I'd highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Sparta.

The breakfast was good, and the price was cheap. As an American, I found the place oddly fascinating because it felt like stepping way back in time. We’ve stayed here twice, a year apart, and got through both nights just fine. It reminded me of a Motel 6, only a couple of notches lower.

For one night, it was fine, especially for the price, and the people were friendly. The room itself was okay, though there weren’t many power outlets. The door was partly damaged, and the bathroom wasn’t very comfortable.
