Elvita Spata Luxurious Villa

The stairs are tough when you’ve got luggage to carry, and the elevator doesn’t work. There’s a shower in the basement, but barely enough room to move around in it.

It’s a quiet detached house in a residential neighborhood, so it works well for a group. Convenience stores and restaurants are just a 4-6 minute walk away.

We weren’t happy with the house at all. It looked nothing like the photos, and we had to clean it ourselves before staying. Even the walls were in terrible shape. The room in the basement smelled damp, as someone else has mentioned in the comments. They’d left a washing machine running and forgotten about it. There was an elevator, but nobody told us it wasn’t working. The reservation had been made under another name.

The yard, especially behind the house, also needs attention. The description claims the villa sleeps 10 to 12, but only two rooms are really habitable. Plaster is peeling in most rooms from the humidity, and there’s mold, particularly in the basement bedroom meant for three. It has two beds and one folding bed, plus a black wall under the sink. The bathrooms are cramped and damp, and the stairwells have no lights. Hot water comes from a solar system, so morning baths may not be possible. In the evening, there was enough for 4-5 people, while the others had cold showers. The listing says there’s an elevator, but there isn’t, just an elevator pit. It’s a shame. I was disappointed and wouldn’t recommend it.
