We could manage here for one night before our flight from nearby Athens airport, but I can’t recommend it. The bed was much too soft and uncomfortable, the sitting room furniture was worn, and the TV had few options and no English channels. The kitchen was very sparsely equipped, with just one dinner plate, four pasta bowls and little else. We were given three coffee pods, but no tea, milk or other supplies. We had left our cruise ship in Athens at 8.00am and asked about checking in early. They said they’d contact us when the room was ready, but sent the gate code at exactly 2.00pm, the check-in time. There were no previous guests or cleaners at the property, and it was raining hard. They wouldn’t even let us wait on the verandah for shelter. The people handling the accommodation were difficult to deal with.

The garden was beautiful, and after picking up something from a local bakery we enjoyed coffee there in the morning. The place was clean and roomy, just right for an overnight stop. At night, though, the neighbourhood was noisy, with barking dogs and roosters crowing in the morning. Both taxi rides cost a lot for such a short distance from the airport, so having a rental car would make the stay easier.

We arrived late before an early flight, and contactless keypad access made getting in simple. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern, and it’s very close to the airport. We used the recommended shuttle, which was convenient too. One odd thing in my unit was that the shower head had no holder, so I had to hold it while showering. Not a big problem, though. I’d happily stay here again.

Getting there takes a fairly long transit ride, and the airport is still a 10-minute drive away. Once inside, though, the apartment was spotless, modern and easy to enter without a key. There are three separate suites in different sizes. Ours was listed as having a king bed, but it was clearly a queen. The shower had plenty of hot water and strong pressure.
4/10
The espresso machine didn’t work, which was a big no for me, and our beds hadn’t been made when we arrived. The place itself was so nice, though.
