Stelios Hotel

The portside view is amazing, and the location could hardly be better: about 100 m from the ferry and close to everything. Our room was comfortable enough, with a renovated bathroom, and the staff were genuinely nice and helpful. The hotel itself is very basic, though. Cleanliness could be better, the facilities are poor, and the old beds were uncomfortable and need replacing. I’d suggest contacting the hotel directly to see if you can get a lower price.

There’s no breakfast or reception here. To get your keys, you need to collect them from the Alasia travel agency, about 100 yards back in the direction of the ferry.

Manda, the maid, greeted me with a lovely smile and a cheerful manner, and looked after my room so well. I felt pampered and cared for, and came away feeling like a new woman. The room had a fantastic view over the bay and a great bathroom. Some inconsiderate guests in other rooms made enough noise to disturb people trying to sleep, but despite that, I slept like a baby for the first time in months. Thank you to everyone at the Stelios, AlasiaTravel and Klimis Cafe. I’ve just come back from a fabulous stay and will definitely return next year.

The bathroom was small, and there weren’t enough places to charge devices. Street noise and noise from the cleaning staff were also a problem, so staying here was disappointing.
