Azur Retreat is a hidden gem on one of Greece’s loveliest islands. The hosts were amazing, and the accommodation was stylish. We also really enjoyed the delicious food and the whole experience 💙

The people at Azur Retreat were so kind and helpful throughout my stay, which is what made it especially memorable. Mariana from the spa deserves a special thank you for her magic fingers. I came away completely relaxed and recharged, and I can’t wait to return. The peaceful, elegant setting was beautifully maintained too.

Having its own jetty was a real convenience. If you rent a boat, it can be delivered there, and water taxis can bring you right to the entrance. The hotel is also ideally placed in Vathy, with an easy walk into town. We were there as two couples and couldn’t fault our stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

Meganissi is my favourite Greek island so far, with such a lovely, laidback feel. We had a rockstar room on the 3rd floor, with an amazing sea view and a pool that was just right for two. We spent ages watching yachts head towards the marina in Vathy while floating in it. The hotel has an upmarket feel but stays relaxed, and the main pool was stunning too, with waiter service available. Breakfast was served daily, and we also had lunch and dinner there once. The food was lovely, so we’ll eat at the restaurant again when we return. George was always there to welcome us at breakfast and have a chat. Vathy’s bars, restaurants and shops are about an 8-minute walk away, mostly on flat ground. All the staff were helpful and took time to get to know their guests. Maria and Phaedra at reception were lovely and engaging, and gave us suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. It’s also a great place if all you want is a relaxing holiday. We’ll definitely return to this beautiful hotel. Thanks for making our stay special. Leonie and David

Just got home from a fantastic holiday at the Azure retreat! Our suite was beautiful, with a duplex balcony and jacuzzi, and the views were phenomenal. The hotel was fantastic too, spotless from the room to the rest of the place, with so much attention to detail. The journey and private transfer went very smoothly. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and the restaurant team greeted us every morning with a smile. The food and drinks were wonderful. I also had a facial and massage at the spa, which was so relaxing. Thanks again, team azure retreat, you should be proud xx
