Maria was a fantastic host, and the other woman who cooks and prepares the meals was wonderful too. They’re a real powerhouse of a team. The food was always excellent and beautifully presented, and the rooms were cleaned and the beds made every day. The hotel is right on the beach in the centre of Stalis, which more than made up for some problems with the room. We’d travelled from Cyprus with a short, 2-hour stopover in Athens. I first spotted the hotel on a previous visit while walking along the beach. It looked like my kind of place, so I went home and booked it for this year. Maria showed us to rooms 1 and 3. It was a shame they weren’t next to each other, since both had patios outside. There was a drain smell in the room throughout our stay. We didn’t complain because we didn’t spend much time there. The rooms were basic but clean. The shower curtain could use some weight at the bottom: it’s a wet room rather than a separate shower, and the curtain kept sticking to us. I’d chosen it because it was advertised as “A beachfront hotel for couples & beach lovers.” But a group of 8 adults and 3 children from the seagull apartments came in to use the pool on several occasions, with the children screaming and shouting. One afternoon they even jumped over the wall. When a hotel is advertised as a couples’ stay, you assume there won’t be children. I was planning to book again next year as soon as I got home. The rooms we stayed in are being upgraded with a jacuzzi on the patio, though in temperatures over 30 degrees I can’t imagine anyone using it. The room prices have gone up dramatically, so I’ll have to save a little harder. The place is worth it.

We spent a week here, my daughter and I, and we’re so sad to be leaving. Our room had everything we needed, and the location was perfect. The whole team made us feel very welcome. Maria looked after us so well every day, she really is the heart of the hotel and such a lovely woman. The room was cleaned thoroughly each day, and there’s honestly nothing we could fault. Stavros took care of us at the bar in the evenings. He was friendly, always happy to help, and up for a chat. I’d absolutely recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed.

We stayed in the suite for our wedding, and it was a faultless visit, 10/10. There was plenty of space inside, a great bed and an amazing shower. Outside, there was room for guests and a king-size sunbed, plus an excellent private pool with a jacuzzi section. The cleaners were best in class, helping get the room ready and clearing up after the wedding preparations. The bar and cafe served fantastic food in huge portions, and I recommend the chicken club. The beach and strip road were easy to reach, the employees were friendly, and Maria would do anything to help.

Maria welcomed us like old friends, learned our names straight away, and looked after us with such genuine warmth. She really is the heart and soul of Soleil. Lia’s delicious breakfasts made every morning something to look forward to, and the dishes looked like works of art. In the evenings, Maria and Stavros made the most delicious cocktails we’ve ever had, always with a smile. Eleni’s gentle, gracious way also made us feel cherished. Every person there went above and beyond. We stayed at Soleil in July 2025, and the people are what made this little paradise so special. The hotel itself feels thoughtfully put together, with lovely details, calm interiors, and a peaceful energy. The sea breeze drifts through the open spaces, and the beach is right at the foot of the hotel, just steps from the clear water and soft sand. It was one of the most magical holidays we’ve ever had. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories, and can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you to everyone at Soleil for making our stay so special. With all our love, Mariana & Martin
