The area is quiet and the rooms were clean, with a sea view and a sandy beach about a 10-minute walk away. Wi-Fi was good too. But there were so many restrictions: no bringing your own drinks to the pool, even water, and no eating your own food on the terrace. You could eat in your room, though there were no dishes there. Getting hot water meant begging for it, even though a heater was always available in the restaurant and we weren't allowed to use it. The pillows were hard as stones, the shower was too small for children, there was no kettle in the room, and no tea. The air conditioning leaked and flooded the balcony. There was no hot water in the shower after 10 PM, and breakfast was the same food all week. If you charm the owner, Kopulus, by buying lunch for 10 eur, he'll call you a friend. The restaurant on the corner charged around 8 eur for whatever you wanted to eat. When I had questions beyond that, he treated me like an unwelcome guest. This isn't my first holiday on Crete, so I wouldn't take that as normal behavior. It was the first time, and I hope the last.

Kostas the owner seems to have every detail covered if you enjoy being told how to spend your holiday. I found it frustrating, and this place could ruin your vacation if you're just looking for a normal stay.

Really good rooms, and the place is super clean. It's run by a lovely family. Fantastic accommodation.
