The peaceful atmosphere was a real plus. It was easy to unwind while still being close enough to explore the lively town of Chania. The hotel is a short walk from the beach, with lovely sea and mountain views, and a huge, crystal-clear pool that was great for swimming or relaxing. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and helpful, with great suggestions for things to see and do around Chania. A comfortable, welcoming stay in Stavros, especially if you enjoy swimming.

Vicky and her family worked hard to make sure we were happy. She shared tips on places to visit and eat, parking and bus times, and even packed us a picnic breakfast when we left early for sightseeing. Breakfast was cooked fresh each morning by Vicky and served by her family in the dining room. It was lovely and kept us full all day. The hotel was quiet during our two weeks at the beginning of September, so we often had the pool to ourselves. Our spacious room was comfortable and very clean, with a balcony overlooking the fantastic pool and mountain views. It was cleaned every other day, with fresh towels and toilet rolls. The hotel is around a 10 to 15-minute walk from Stavros beach, with two supermarkets on the way. The beach is beautiful, with warm, shallow water, sandy shore and lots of little fish. Sunbed hire was a bit expensive, typically 40 euros per set in the front row and 30 euros behind, but waiter service and a free bottle of water were included. Restaurants around the beach served good food at reasonable prices. Since the hotel is a little out of the way, we hired a car for two weeks from Uranus car rentals, which we highly recommend. Vicky, her husband and sons are a lovely family. We’d love to return for another quiet, relaxing, safe and enjoyable holiday.

Vicky took such good care of us and made sure we had a relaxing week. She made a fresh breakfast every morning, with something different each day, arranged taxis and checked we got back safely after our day trip. The staff were all genuinely lovely. We stayed for five days with a friend and had the best time. The room was clean, and the two pools were gorgeous. The new restaurant had just opened for food and drinks, and there were nice restaurants, convenience stores and a beach just down the road. We couldn’t fault the hotel.

We stayed one night before our flight. Late check-in was possible, and the rooms were clean and comfortable with air conditioning. The grounds were well kept, and there were two nice pools with interesting infrastructure. The breakfast restaurant was spacious. It’s a 12-minute drive to the airport.
