The terrace was a lovely place to sit, with a table, two chairs, and an umbrella, and the bathroom had fresh white towels. Inside, the Afroditi apartment is roomy and comfortable, with a well laid out bedroom and a kitchenette with dining space. There was enough in the kitchen to put together a simple holiday meal, and even the cutlery was polished. Koula made us feel cared for from the moment we booked. We arrived very late, and I’d worried she’d have to wait up for ages, but she reassured me that she always welcomes her guests. Maria kept everything beautifully clean. The beach is a two minute walk away, and I’d happily recommend staying at Afroditi.

Stegna’s laid-back feel and lack of heavy crowds suited us really well. We felt less like ordinary holidaymakers and more like part of a family, and we’re already hoping to come back next year. At Afroditi apartments, our apartment had a lovely view of the sea in front and the mountains behind. It was peaceful, with birds singing, and the beach was only a couple of minutes’ walk away. We had everything we needed, including plenty of kitchen equipment, a comfortable bed, and extra pillows and blankets in the wardrobe. Our flight was delayed, so we checked in very late. Koula was still there to welcome us and show us in, and she’d even left us food and drinks, which was very welcome after the long trip. She was always cheerful and happy to share local tips. The place was cleaned every day except Sundays, which I found more than adequate.

Nicholas and his wife Claudia have been so friendly and easy to deal with. They even offered us a complimentary trip on Nicholas’ fishing boat. The apartments are set back from the main road, so they’re wonderfully quiet, and our room is modern with a huge comfy bed and a nice balcony view. We arrived on Tuesday and everything has been perfect so far. I hesitated to book because there weren’t earlier reviews, but the apartments had only been refurbished from February 2021. I’d absolutely recommend them.

The owner was very kind, and the apartment had a full set of kitchen appliances. It was clean and close to the beach, with a market just 500 metres away.
