The setting among pomegranate, citrus, and olive trees was wonderful, and the calm atmosphere and views made this place feel special. Our kind host greeted us with smiles and laughter, and the human connections here were lovely. The sea-view junior suite is in a wonderful location and thoughtfully arranged to cover what you need. The kitchen, bathroom, and shower are well placed. If you want, you can make yogurt and granola for breakfast in the kitchen. Anyone visiting Stegna should stay here.

I’ve been coming back for many years and plan to keep doing so. It feels like paradise here, calm and so green. The host and staff are friendly, cheerful, and thoughtful, exactly what we need on holiday. “Don’t worry, be happy” is the motto. The rooms are modern and clean, close to the beach, and you can enjoy the view in privacy.

The garden was a dream, full of flowers and olive trees, and our spotless, cosy apartment had everything we needed. Every detail felt thoughtfully prepared. Stegna itself was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature, with the beach and lovely local tavernas just a short walk away. Tsampika was the kindest, most welcoming host we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel like part of the family. We loved every bit of our seven day stay. It was one of the best vacations of our lives, and so hard to leave.

Stegna’s calm beach town feel was a highlight for us. It’s the complete opposite of Faliraki, with only a couple of quiet bars, independent tourists, lovely seaside restaurants, and plenty of loungers and parasols even in August. Beach service was included, and at 10€ for a set I thought they were a bargain. Swimming and snorkelling were great, there were beach sports, and you could rent a boat to explore the coves. I’d also recommend evening trips to Old Rhodes Town and Lindos, both incredibly picturesque. My teenage daughter and I had been trying hard to get a spot at Anastasia’s Gardens. The photos gave it a lovely feel, the reviews were great, and the location was ideal, just a two minute walk from quaint Stegna beach. We struggled with availability for a while, so I was glad we kept looking. Before our arrival, Tsampika gave us a fair price and was friendly and efficient, answering all my questions quickly. She was wonderful throughout, and our holiday was everything we could have hoped for. The hotel is set back from the coastal road, so it’s very quiet. We met happy guests who return year after year, including three families who’d been coming back for more than 30 years. There are patios of different sizes with sea or garden views, and studios plus one and two bedroom flats. The gardens are lush and immaculate, with the paths swept daily, and the cleaning staff are attentive. Our room was even more spacious and beautiful than we expected. The air conditioning was great, Wi-Fi excellent, and the beds were very comfortable. The fresh smelling linen and towels were first class. Sleep can be hard for me, but I slept so well the whole week. The shower room was spotless, worked perfectly, and had quality fittings, good pressure, and plenty of hot water. There were some toiletries too. Even when my daughter’s two friends stayed in our room for two nights on a last minute request, Tsampika was happy to arrange it, and all four of us had hot showers. The kitchenette wasn’t huge, but it was fine for breakfast or the occasional meal. We ate out instead, since Stegna has so many good seaside restaurants and we wanted to try a new one each night. The service and food were great at each one, definitely my Greek vote. The days flew by, and we soon wanted to come back. This lovingly run hotel, Tsampika, and her wonderful son, Rafa, have a special place in our hearts. They both go above and beyond for their guests. Thank you both so much.
