The outdoor space is the best part: the green grounds are pleasant, and the pool is handy for cooling off after the beach. It’s all clean outside and has a relaxed feel. Inside, though, the furniture seems dated, one room feels makeshift and carries noise because it isn’t properly insulated, and the bathroom door only locks from inside. The pool closes at 8 p.m. and opens at 9 a.m., a schedule that brought back memories of strict communist-era routines. For what the villa offers, the price feels too high.

We’d definitely come back. The landlady was so attentive, and the location is great. Some maintenance in the rooms would help, though it was the end of the season. Great job!

We fell for Kefalonia, and this villa was a lovely base for exploring the island, about 16 minutes from Argostoli. Chrisanthi and her sister made us feel at home right away, and were so warm and kind. Our 10-day stay with our five-year-old daughter worked out perfectly. She loved the pool, the cats that live nearby, and the beach toys and little table they brought for her. I really recommend Chrisanthi’s 5 star Villa, especially for a family with children.

The host came across as careless and unprofessional. The dates were still open for booking when I reserved, then I was told they weren't available. Even ten hours later, the dates remained listed as open. After all these years and with customer ratings like that, I can't believe this is the kind of host you can end up with.
