Niki and her family lovingly restored this beautiful historical apartment, and they were lovely and extremely helpful. It was just the right size for the four of us, with very comfortable beds and a little balcony where we enjoyed breakfast while looking out at Symi. The location was amazing, just minutes from the shops and boats to the beaches. Symi is stunning, and we felt lucky to stay in such a gorgeous part of it.

The only downside was that we didn’t stay longer. My children and I decided at the last minute to spend a night on Symi, so I asked the owners whether we could check in early because our ferry arrived very early. The room was free, so we were in luck. It was exceptionally clean and comfortable, including the bathroom. The owners live upstairs and were lovely and very helpful. They’re a local family who clearly take pride in their apartments and island. We’ll definitely be back.

Our stay at Castello Veneziana was wonderful, and we were looked after exceptionally well in this magnificent hotel. The amenities and location went beyond what we expected. A perfect place to relax, with a breathtaking balcony. Castello Venetsiana is a beautiful traditional house, recently renovated, in a quiet neighborhood away from Symi’s hustle and bustle. It’s centrally located in a small alley close to all the cafes and restaurants. The place was clean, the beds comfortable, and it had all the amenities we needed. The owners were super friendly and ready to help with anything.

The bathroom was what really put me off: grime on the tiles and mold spots on the shower curtain. The furniture also looked cheap and very worn, like an old IKEA-style setup. The little garden is across the street and farther uphill, and it had rubbish left around, including a toilet bowl sitting in the middle. Someone needs to clear it out.
