Mironi & Victoria Hotel

The family running the hotel were so helpful and friendly, and gave us lots of tips. We spent five nights there and everything was great. It’s right in central Limenas, close to the sea, restaurants, and a supermarket, but the area was still quiet.

I was left scrambling because I only learned by chance, a week before arrival, that my booking had been cancelled. I’d reserved months earlier, but heard nothing until Booking.com sent a prepayment notice saying my card had been declined, with no explanation. They ignored my message, so I called. The hotel would be closed that week due to a health issue. When I asked why nobody had told me, I got a rather rude reply that I’d booked just one night and should be able to find somewhere else. If I hadn’t called, would I have found out only when I arrived? Places nearby now cost double, and we don’t have a car to stay just anywhere. A huge disappointment.

The mountain views were magnificent, and the commercial area of Thasos is only a few minutes away on foot. The hotel is lovely, with clean, modern renovated rooms. The staff were exceptional and the hospitality was great. I’d definitely recommend it. Keep up the good work.

I thought Booking had reserved me a room at the Mironi, but I was placed at the Victoria instead. There wasn’t any toilet paper in my room when I arrived, so I had to walk over to the Mironi front desk to ask for some. They’d only provided two bars of hand soap for toiletries. One towel had a stain, and the AC/heater made awful noises.
