Nirvana Beach Hotel

The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day, and a special thank you to the wonderful housekeeping team. We had a great stay, with staff who were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. It can be quite windy on this side of the island, so I’d recommend renting a car if you want to explore some of the beautiful beaches with calmer water.

The staff were the part I appreciated most. Every person was exceptionally friendly and kind, always smiling, welcoming, and in a good mood. Many thanks and warm greetings to everyone. It was a very pleasant hotel experience. The rooms have older furniture, but they’re very clean, and the food was excellent, authentic homemade Greek cuisine.

The staff were kind and always smiling, and the cleaning was done every day. Those were the only positives for us. Plane takeoffs were very loud, and with thin walls and old, creaky doors, every kind of noise carried. We struggled to rest throughout the stay. There were lots of cats. Once, one urinated from the bamboo roof onto my chair. They often climbed onto the chairs while we were eating and tried to put their noses and paws into our plates.

The staff were the one good part of this stay. They kept trying to do their jobs well, but it couldn't make up for the problems elsewhere. The rooms are old and nothing like the hotel photos. There isn't a proper swimming beach, just a wild stretch of shore. The food was disappointing too: with all-inclusive, we expected tasty meals, but got boiled potatoes, cabbage salads and peas, with no buffet and no real dessert. We kept having to eat at nearby restaurants. And paying an extra 8 euros for the air-conditioning remote for one night, in 38-degree heat, was awful. Never again. I wouldn't recommend this place for a holiday.
