Assembly

We were just passing through and already knew the hotel was near the highway, so we didn’t expect much. But it didn’t meet even basic expectations, and it doesn’t match the three stars it advertises. There was a strange, heavy perfume smell in the room, as if someone was trying to cover something up. We opened the windows for fresh air, and the bathroom smelled odd too and had no ventilation. The AC didn’t work. Power only stayed on while the room card was inserted, so we couldn’t charge our devices when we left the room. The pool itself was clean and nice, but everywhere else was dusty. Dinner was confusing: after waiting a long time just to find out how to order, we saw a menu printed on draft paper with approximate prices. Every main seemed to cost 10 euros, and the beef with rice took ten minutes to prepare, which didn’t seem realistic for a great meal. We ate at a nearby restaurant instead, Kavakli restaurant-bar, which I recommend. We also skipped hotel breakfast and went elsewhere, to Morning coffee, for great coffee and tasty pastries.

The owner and staff were friendly. The hotel was very clean, with good wifi and a great breakfast.

Our first room smelled horribly of cigarettes, and the sheets were dirty and clearly hadn’t been changed. They moved us, but the second room was even worse. Don’t spend your time or money here. You’d be better off sleeping in your car.

The room was livable, but the pillows had holes and there wasn’t a light in the room. I’ve never experienced water pressure like this before, it was honestly crazy. In room 186, the bathroom floor had random raised and lowered spots, almost like a height map, so shower water ran out and left the floor outside wet. The card system was more advanced than in most hotels, I guess that’s a plus. The food was bad too: my chicken gyros had a piece of bone in it, the tomatoes were awful, and the potatoes tasted genuinely sour.
