The manager went out of her way to meet us at the building entrance after we didn't receive check-in details through the Agoda/Expedia third-party booking site. The location is great, close to the metro, bus and train stations, restaurants, and shops.
The location was sold as “premium,” but my experience was a string of basic problems and a management team that went silent when I reported them. I asked for a partial refund for the unresolved issues and all the chasing I had to do, and was ignored. Once they'd taken payment, it felt like I was on my own. From the first night, the room wasn't fit for purpose. Half the window had no curtain, leaving the room exposed to light and neighbouring buildings. I had no privacy or darkness and couldn't sleep. I sent photos right away and got no response. The shower pole had come away from the wall, was unstable, and hurt to use. I reported that with photos too, but heard nothing. Messages and calls went unanswered. I spent a whole day trying to get someone to acknowledge the problems. They only replied after I threatened a chargeback. A staff member eventually came, agreed the curtain was too short and unsuitable, then left without fixing or replacing it or following up. The problem continued for the rest of my stay. The advertised Wi-Fi didn't work at all, and nothing was done after I reported it. The self-catering setup was almost unusable: no teaspoons, washing-up liquid, pots or pans, and no proper cooking utensils. Of the only two things in the drawer, one was broken, as shown in the photos. There was a sponge, but nothing to wash dishes with. You couldn't cook, clean, or even stir a drink. There was no privacy or proper sleep, a broken shower, no working Wi-Fi, missing household basics, broken utensils, and appalling communication. This felt like poor maintenance and total indifference to guests, not bad luck. If sleep, privacy, basic hygiene, or minimal professional treatment matter to you, avoid this place. Thessaloniki has much better options.
The location was okay, about a 30-minute walk from Aristotle’s square, and check-in went smoothly with the door code and key instructions arriving the morning we were due. There were two working elevators and one that didn't work. Parking was not available at the building. The garage next door cost €30 a night. I booked a classical studio apartment with a balcony for one night. The photos made it look small and cozy, so I expected more. Before arrival I messaged the host over three days and got only one reply. The building was dirty, and the stairs and halls smelled strongly of mold. The apartment looked like the photos in terms of decor, but it was in awful condition. It wasn't clean: the toaster had old crumbs, the stove was dirty, mold smell was everywhere, and the sink and toilet had dirty water. One shower door was missing, so water went everywhere. Getting hot water meant opening the electrical box and pressing a switch, then waiting, and it ran out quickly. There were stains on parts of the bed sheet. The sofa was torn on the side and looked like it had a cigarette burn. The balcony was filthy, with bugs and cigarette butts, as if it hadn't been cleaned. Wi-Fi only showed up in the hall, not in the room. When we contacted them, they replied hours later with the same network name and password, which didn't help, so we bought an eSIM. All night, wind came in through a gap and we woke with our backs stiff and knotted. We considered booking somewhere else and losing the money. For a longer stay, we would have, but luckily it was only one night. We won't go back and definitely wouldn't recommend it. It wasn't worth the money.
The room was handy for the market, the air conditioning worked well, and the staff were nice. There is a secure indoor car park downstairs for €25 a night, and since street parking is impossible to find, you have to use it. At least the car is safe. Still, I wouldn't recommend the place. It was dirty and poorly cleaned, with too few kitchen items. We booked for three people but were left supplies for only two, and there were no pillows or towels. We told them, and because it was late they said they'd bring them the next day, which they did. When we opened the living room sofa, there was a lot of dirt inside. For the price, it's not worth it. I'd look elsewhere, or at least see the room before booking.
Filthy room and an awful stay. The couch was torn, with springs sticking out, and there was a used condom on the floor.
