Diamond Suites

The Greek breakfast was lovely, and the reception service was genuinely great. I also liked the location. My one preference would be a proper coffee machine in the morning instead of the old-style coffee maker they have now.

We could walk everywhere from this great spot in the heart of Thessaloniki, so there was no need to use the car. Parking is a bit tricky, and it's best to call reception a few minutes before you arrive. The rooms were spacious enough and clean, and the staff were always polite and helpful.

Getting around on foot is easy from this very central location. Check-in happens at the hotel across the way, where you collect the keys. Driving there is difficult, and there's no parking, so we left the car in a nearby overnight lot. Breakfast is served at the hotel next door, but it was below average for us, and we preferred going to a cafe. The room showed some wear, especially in the shower.

The room was large, cozy, and clean, but our Sky View Suite mostly looked out onto depressing surrounding buildings, so having a view room felt pointless. The windows weren't insulated, and loud music and people could be heard until around 4 or 5 am. There are plenty of clubs and bars on nearby streets, so it might suit younger guests who want to party. The main attractions are about a 25-minute walk away. The bathroom needs renovation. The shower cubicle was a joke, with no door on the side where water splashes, and there was nowhere to hang hand towels. The hair dryer looked like an old wall telephone. There's no parking, so we had to leave the car in an outdoor lot and carry our luggage for 4-5 minutes to the hotel. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and polite. Breakfast was okay, though the breakfast room was small and compact. Given our needs and interests, we wouldn't choose this place next time.
