Downtown Seaside Suites

The view is awful, and the network can be slow at times. The showerhead looks like it could fall off soon. The lobby feels suspicious, like someone might kidnap you, and the elevator is scary too.

I loved the terrace, the incredibly soft and comfortable beds, and the amazing bathroom. But I hadn’t realized there was no kitchen at all, or even a sink to wash the dishes for me and my two friends. One other minor annoyance was the toilet: every couple of hours it made a sound like my washing machine finishing a cycle with more than 3kg of clothes. It would go “duumm dummm” once or twice. It wasn’t a dealbreaker.

We were excited from the moment we arrived, and stayed in touch with Nikos from Downtownseaside Cogroup throughout. As a choral group, having everything at our fingertips in the city center suited us perfectly. The rooms were neat and clean, and the organization was impeccable. I recommend it.

This place really is somewhere to stay and enjoy. Down Town Seaside Studios Thessaloniki sits in the city center, 125 meters from the seaside promenade, and the historic White Tower is a 20-minute walk away. The recently renovated, spacious apartments have everything needed in the kitchen and bathroom, and the staff and management deserve compliments for keeping them hygienic and thoroughly clean. There are excellent fish and beef restaurants on the same street, plenty of cozy spots nearby for breakfast, and a taxi stand around the corner.
