The apartment worked best for two people. It has a living room and bedroom, but three would feel crowded. I especially liked how clean and nicely decorated it was, and we had a great four days there. The kitchen is well equipped, with an oven, kettle, coffee machine, sandwich maker, and a larger-than-usual fridge with a freezer. There are two TVs, including a very large one, but only Greek channels and news are free, apart from YouTube. You can use the iron, ironing board, and dryer if needed. The bedside lamps are well placed, and the windows have mosquito and insect screens, though they’re locked. Entry is by digital code or token, so there’s no key handover to worry about. The bus stop is right outside, a 24-hour supermarket is across the street, and the pedestrian and shopping area of Kalamaria is nearby. Parking on the street is free throughout the area, but finding a space is difficult; there are also two free lots close by. A few drawbacks: the first-floor apartments have steep stairs, there aren’t shelves or hooks in the bathroom for your things, and a step in the middle can catch you by surprise. The lighting is limited, though that might not bother everyone.
