I had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Thessaloniki. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, spotless, and really relaxing. The staff were kind and attentive, and they exceeded expectations. They handled every request or issue quickly and efficiently, always with a pleasant attitude. We had a very minor issue in the room, and the team responded straight away. They went above and beyond by inviting us to dinner at the hotel's excellent restaurant, where we enjoyed delicious food and a great atmosphere. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything.

The Monarch Exclusive suite was far beyond what we expected, and the jacuzzi was just right for the cold weather. Breakfast was exceptional, the ground-floor restaurant was amazing, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. After staying at many top-notch hotels in central Thessaloniki, I’d recommend MonAsty Hotel.

We spent close to €350 for one night and left feeling this was one of our worst hotel stays in Thessaloniki. We’re sharing this so future guests know what to expect. The room was presented as “luxury,” but it had no balcony and smelled strongly of both sewage and cigarette smoke. When we complained, reception apologized and said the previous guests had probably smoked there. That didn’t make it any easier to sleep in a room with those smells. Breakfast wasn’t included either, despite the €250 room price. Parking cost extra, and so did our dog: €70 for a tiny Pomeranian of about 2 kg, not a large dog like a 70 kg German Shepherd or Moscow Watchdog. We’d been persuaded by the hotel’s Google listing and official website that it was top-class. For a hotel presenting itself as luxury, the room and service were completely unacceptable and extremely disappointing.

The location is right in the center, and the way the hotel is put together feels really thought through. A dining area can turn into an art market the next day, with loads of visitors. The red carpet at the entrance is lovely, too. There are smartly dressed crowds for public and private parties, but we had no noise issues. Everything was cleaned up so precisely afterward that you wonder how they managed it. The rooftop service, downstairs bar and restaurant were all good, and the staff made the whole experience feel welcoming. The bedding is amazing, and the TV, worth mentioning in Greece, is actually smart and great for relaxing. It felt like coming home. Well done, team Monasty, from check-in to leaving!
