Muse “a place to inspire you”

After a trip to Dion, I got back to find all my things gone from the room, which had been left perfectly tidy. I checked every cupboard and found nothing. After several tries, I reached the owners on a different phone number, one not managed by Booking.com. At first, they said I should deal with it myself through the police. Eventually, she learned the cleaning lady had thought I’d left a day early and had proactively taken my belongings away. I waited half an hour to get most of it back, but the bathroom items had been thrown out: a Curaprox toothbrush, OralB toothpaste and a Gillette Mach 3 razor. Try shopping for those at a Greek drugstore after eight on a Sunday evening. The accommodation awkwardly insisted it wasn’t their concern. This completely ruined my stay and made being in Thessaloniki difficult. As for the room, you enter straight from the street, and the key is in a numeric-code box on the house wall. There’s practically no window, just small ones near the ceiling. They can’t be closed, so street light comes in all night. The bathroom has black mold in its corners and edges. It was otherwise clean, had no smell, and the air conditioning worked. Check-in and check-out were done without the owner present.

Don’t book this place. We messaged both phone numbers in the morning and got no reply. In the afternoon, we called from outside the accommodation, but no one answered, and we couldn’t get in. Luckily Revolut refunded us, but we had to book somewhere else.
