Nea Metropolis Hotel

It’s an older hotel, kept clean, with lovely architecture and a tiny lift. The location works really well, close to amenities, and the 01X bus makes getting to and from the airport easy. Our room was nice and adequate, and the staff were friendly. We skipped breakfast, so I can’t say how it was.

The room was spotless, and everyone I met at reception, housekeeping, and breakfast was very kind. I was extremely pleased with the stay, it was perfect.

For two nights, this central Thessaloniki hotel was a lovely place to stay. It’s near the lively late-night area, and the price felt fantastic for what you get. The room was cozy, nice, and impeccably clean.

Our stay was in room 220, a triple, so this is about that room specifically. At 76 euros for one night, it felt like a steal, and you’re right in the centre of Thessalonika. The room was tidy and clean, with comfortable beds that were a little hard. The pillows weren’t too thin, and the new shower room has a nice large shower head. There’s a power socket on one side of the beds and uplighters on both sides. We also had complimentary coffee sachets and biscuits. The windows blocked most of the noise, so we slept without interruption. There’s a small balcony, but only one person can sit out there. Breakfast came with the room. It was a basic continental spread, with cereal, tea, coffee, and orange juice, and nothing cooked. The main thing to know is the lift: it’s tiny, just enough for one person and a suitcase. That could be a problem if you need it or have a family moving a lot of things. For the price, though, room 220 was fantastic. I’d suggest booking it, the hotel probably won’t know why it’s so popular!
