ONOMA Hotel

I was here for a business trip and would gladly stay again. My room was tidy, comfortable, and had everything I needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, and Katerina at reception made checking out quick and easy.

The location worked well for us, close enough to walk to the shops and cafes, yet quiet at night. The front desk also arranged a lovely private trip to Lake Kerkini at a fair price. Breakfast was pretty good too, especially the spicy sausages and traditional pastry tarts.

This was my second visit, and I'm already planning another. The rooms are roomy and come with nice extras like a Marshall sound system and a range of amenities. Breakfast is delicious, and a woman whose name I didn't catch made excellent omelettes, scrambled eggs, and poached eggs. Katherina welcomed us at reception and was keen to help us make the most of Thessaloniki. She can sort out a car rental, help you find your way around, or connect with restaurants, clubs, and bars. Up on the roof, George is one of the nicest bartenders we've met. He's great for a chat and good drinks, and the signature cocktails bring a taste of Greece to the glass. The whole place has a relaxing feel, and there are lots of young people to meet.

The rooms are great, and most of the staff were lovely. We were with a big group, and the food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was very good. One skybar staff member made his dislike of coffee orders pretty obvious, though, which kept this from being five stars. The neighborhood isn't especially attractive or cozy at night, and the views aren't a reason to choose the hotel. Still, the livelier areas are about a 10-minute walk away, and taking a taxi back felt fine. I'd recommend it, with some reservations about the setting.
