After a tiring day of business, I turned on the tap at one o’clock at night and found there was no running water. I couldn’t wash, brush my teeth, or even flush the toilet, with a full day of appointments ahead. The outage lasted more than 12 hours, and there had been no warning. The manager was rude, wouldn’t accept responsibility, and offered no solution. When we asked to keep the apartment until our appointments were over, she said we should check out on time, then come back with our luggage to use the bathroom in another room if she gave us its code. The room had been overcharged, and there was no offer of a refund.

The host was amazing, and the apartment had everything we needed along with a lovely city view. We had a wonderful weekend in Thessaloniki. The host also pointed us toward great restaurants and bars. We enjoyed the stay and will be back.

The room was cleaned very well, but the guest service was really poor. We were left waiting in the street because nobody sent us the entry code. They also asked us to pay taxes on top of the booked price, then left them off the invoice even after we requested it.

The location made getting around easy: it’s a few meters from the White Tower and the seafront, and close to both the "Ioannis Vellidis" Conference Center and the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Center. What really stood out, though, was how reliable and communicative the team was. They were always available to clear up any questions. It’s a shame the rating only goes up to five stars. Our future trips to Thessaloniki should be much easier now.
