Vergina Hotel

My colleague had her wallet stolen from her room while we were staying here, which left me seriously worried about security. The room was also filthy, with hair everywhere, and the staff were neither helpful nor professional when we raised the issue. It made an already bad stay even worse. I won’t return, and I’d tell others to think carefully before booking.

The reception team were genuinely kind and helpful, easily a 10/10. The rest of the stay was much harder: our room was dirty and housekeeping wasn’t doing a proper job. Breakfast portions were small, and when you asked for more, you got a bad look. There was a lot of noise from children staying there every week. I lasted two weeks, but came back for a third and left when I saw the place full of kids. I can’t recommend it.

The room is a little vintage in style, but it was cozy and had air-conditioning. Staff were kind whenever I asked about places to visit or eat. The hotel is right on the main road in the centre, so buses and the metro are close by. There are two ATM machines outside, one across the road, plus three coffee and general stores nearby. One stays open 24 hours, which was handy when I needed something. I’d recommend it and would come again ^^

Please think carefully before booking. I don’t feel that personal belongings are safe here. The staff and reception were arrogant and unhelpful. When I asked about something I’d forgotten, they told me to look through the garbage myself. I saw and heard them fail to clean the room properly, just throwing things around, and I heard their arrogance and lies firsthand. They don’t seem to care about customers. The receptionist told me he didn’t care about my opinion or review. Big red flag. Avoid these liars.
