The room smelled of mold as soon as I walked in, and the property was very old. It looked nothing like the pictures on Booking where I reserved it. The 310 euros we agreed on was far too much, it should have cost 100 euros at most. I had to cancel on the eve of August 15th in Tinos, when there were no other places to stay. I found another place for four days, but had to pay 1,000 euros more to continue my vacation. I cancelled through Booking straight away and fortunately got my money back. The island is incredibly beautiful, with lovely options and lovely people, so owners shouldn't put visitors off. Fortunately, my impression of the people of Tinos isn't defined by this accommodation's owner.
