Golden Beach Hotel & Apartments

Everything was great during the few days we stayed.

I left without staying and didn't get my money back. After checking in, I had a bath and sat on the bed when I noticed something moving beside me. It was a bedbug. I got up, collected my things and went straight to reception. Earlier, in a separate conversation, I'd been told there were no rooms available, but now they offered me a suite. It felt like an attempt to avoid refunding me, so I declined and moved to another hotel. I'm sharing a video so the hotel can't claim the close-up photos came from somewhere else. I know this sort of thing can happen without anyone noticing, and there are ways to prevent it, but when it does happen, don't refuse to refund the customer. Be careful, and check underneath the mattress before lying down.

I booked and paid for a room, then got Covid the very next day. I contacted the people in charge right away, more than once, hoping to move the paid reservation to another date. They weren't willing to help, and I lost my money because the booking was nonrefundable. This is about their behavior, not the hotel itself.

The sea right in front and the free sunbeds for guests are the biggest pluses. It's a decent place in a very good spot, close to town, though breakfast could have more variety.
