Pitsakis Hotel

The breakfast was the last straw. At 52, I can’t remember another hotel where you couldn’t choose what or how much to eat. You had to point, like a beggar, to a staff member behind a barrier, who decided the portion for you. That felt insulting and cynical. People should be able to judge for themselves what they want for breakfast; the rest felt discriminatory and neither European nor humane. They also wouldn’t allow smoking in the open-air part of the restaurant, and treated people like dogs. Very insulting. The rooms had extremely poor hygiene too. The bathrooms seemed close to falling apart, smelled of sewage, and had no ventilation. To my horror, the very narrow bathroom had a window opening onto the corridor and staircase. I strongly do not recommend this place.

The room setup was awkward for three of us. I shared with two people from my group, and we were given a room meant for two with an extra bed. I was on that bed, which kept shifting around, and there wasn’t enough room for our suitcases or space beside the beds for nightstands. The soundproofing was poor too. I could hear neighboring rooms and couldn’t tell whether some noises were coming from their room or mine. The staff were lovely, and they made sure I had fresh pancakes at breakfast. They understood enough English for us to communicate properly. I enjoyed the food overall, even though a lot wasn’t to my taste since I’m a picky eater. There was always something I liked, and the menu changed a little from day to day. The AC worked very well, but its remote was confusing, and sometimes the temperature shown on it didn’t match the AC.

We love this hotel. It’s so clean, the staff are kind, and we got fresh towels every day with the bed made up so nicely. Maria at reception is an angel ❤️ We’ll definitely stay at Pitsakis again when we come back. Toll forever.

Everything was great. The rooms were clean, nice, and roomy enough. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, especially the receptionist, who was proactive, helpful, and always smiling. Definitely recommended! 😊
