Romvi & Taverna

It’s a classic Greek beach hotel, family-owned and run. Most rooms have a perfect view across Tolon bay, and the restaurant has one too if yours doesn’t. They serve classic, well-made food and wine with a smile.

The sandy beach is great for swimming, and it’s right outside the hotel, though it’s narrow. Guests can use free loungers on the beach or the pier, and there are lovely tables right on the sand. The rooms have air conditioning and the service is great. This is a genuine, traditional, family-run Greek taverna, and we first found it 20 years ago. It’s still going strong and is great value, with good food. The coffee could be better, but Bob next door makes a decent Americano. There are lots of other restaurants nearby, though the Romvi is a favorite with locals and busy all day. Antonis and the whole staff provide great service.

We stopped in for dinner with my wife and some good friends from back home. The food, service, and views were all great.

The setting is enjoyable, and the cuisine is usually well above average. It’s an extremely popular restaurant with locals. Most of the staff are very polite and friendly.
