Akrogiali

Maria and the staff were especially welcoming and kind, and we really enjoyed the delicious restaurant food. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. I loved sitting on the balcony to relax and take in that beautiful sea view. We had a wonderful stay.

Right above the beach, this restaurant serves seafood and grilled meat, and the cook also makes great dishes like okra. The staff are cheerful and very friendly. I was especially impressed by the women’s toilet and changing room, the best appointed I’ve seen in a long time.

We didn’t stay at the hotel, so this is only about the restaurant. I’d avoid it. Service was extremely slow, and some of the food we ordered never arrived. The bathroom doors don’t lock, and someone walked in while I was inside. When I told the owner, he gave me attitude as if the missing lock were my fault.

We arrived around 10h, five hours before check-in, expecting to spend the time at the beach. After coffee at the hotel restaurant, we asked whether we could use the beach beds since we were due to stay there later. The staff were completely fine with it. Then the manager came over, asked for my surname, and said our room was ready, so we could check in as soon as we finished our coffees. That let us enjoy the beach in comfort. Greek hospitality really is hard to beat.
