The bathroom also needs work. The shower is clearly a poor fit for anyone tall and stocky, and there are much better apartments nearby for the same price, so I can't recommend this one. When we arrived, there were cockroaches and ants in the apartment, both alive and dead. It looked as though they had been sprayed but the dead insects hadn't been cleared away. The owner asked us to pay for our two-night booking when we arrived, and we did. On our last day, we called him five times to ask where to leave the key. Everything had been arranged by phone, and we hadn't been given a code for the outside lockbox. He didn't answer or call back, which left us feeling he didn't care if something happened at the property.

The owner was so kind and helpful, thank you for everything. The house is spacious and works really well for families, with a quiet neighborhood around it. It may be old, but it has everything we needed: air conditioning, solar, a new kitchen, and useful appliances including a washer, dryer, toaster, big fridge, coffee maker, and kettle. It was spotless, too. I only wish I'd booked a few more days. Highly recommend it!
