Asklipios Luxury Suite

The owner was great to communicate with, and we’d strongly recommend the apartment. It’s comfortable, spotless, and fully equipped, with lovely decor, great lighting, and thoughtful details. The location is right in the center of Trikala.

The design and space were excellent, but the stay had some real problems. The walls barely blocked sound, and high school kids partying in the apartment next door rang our doorbell until 3am. The internet was out from the start. We reported it, a technician came, and after about two hours it went down again. We also felt the amenities needed a lot of improvement, as you’d expect from an Airbnb. We’d booked at short notice, and otherwise had no issues with the place.

I’ve never come across such unprofessional behavior, and hope I don’t again. This is only the second negative review I’ve written, and I’m sorry to have to post it. The owner canceled our business trip reservation six days beforehand, claiming there was a plumbing issue in the building, and said on the phone that they couldn’t host us six days later. Yet a friend booked an earlier date and was told it was fine to come, with more days available if wanted. It seemed obvious to me that the explanation wasn’t true. The owner knows why they did it, but could have handled it more decently. They left our whole trip in disarray, forcing us to look for whatever was still available for the said SK because of the Kalambaka race.

We paid for a Booking reservation almost a month in advance, but it was canceled the day before we arrived, leaving us completely stranded. When we tried to find out why, no one answered the phone. Unacceptable.
