We’ve traveled all over the world, but this was the most amazing place we’ve ever stayed. Maria, our wonderful host, serviced it every day, and everything was spotlessly clean. The little details were lovely too, from the high-quality toiletries to the soft, beautifully scented towels. When we arrived, there was a table piled with homemade cakes, biscuits, and wine. The fridge was stocked with absolutely everything we could need, and then some. It was all complimentary. The hillside setting has an incredible view, and the town, with its lovely restaurants, is within walking distance. I can’t say enough about how perfect our stay was. A 20 out of 10. Don’t miss this experience!

The strong winds buffeted us a little, which was a shame, but we still had a great experience. The owners were lovely and left us thoughtful extras, including wine, coffee, butter, and a fantastic carrot cake.

The island-wide view from this rental mill is magnificent, and the location is spot on. It was clean and everything worked. The only small downside was the mosquitoes later in the day.

If we ever come back to the Cyclades, we’ll stay at the Drougas Windmill again. This was our best stay there this summer, and we left feeling nostalgic about the charmingly decorated cottage. We arrived very late, but were greeted warmly and kindly despite the delay. There was a chilled bottle of Greek wine, little Greek biscuits, water, butter, coffee, and plenty of other useful things. They were also very flexible about our departure time. Paradise! The Arnaud-Giordana family.
