Getting to the hotel took a little effort for us as American visitors. It’s tucked into the forest, and the driveway felt steep by our standards. But the village is lovely, and Kerasia nearby is just as charming. You’ll need to head to Tripoli for amenities, though the quiet setting makes this a great escape. Our room had a small kitchen with a four-burner gas stove and what we needed to make Greek coffee. The rooms are named after the muses and also come with a shower, hair dryer, TV, and Wi-Fi. The hostess was so friendly and helpful. What an adorable place!

We didn’t stay at the hotel, so I can only speak about the meal. The food was below average, and the prices felt high. What was called “chicken kontosouvli” turned out to be two souvlaki with potatoes and cost €15. Five dolmadakia were €10. I’ve eaten in villages before and found prices quite different from these city-like ones. The worst part was that they didn’t bring back my €3 in change. They just said “as you wish.” I’ll leave the bourbon, but don’t keep my change. I wouldn’t go back or recommend it.
