It’s probably been about 20 years since the hotel was updated. These days it seems maintained, though some maintenance has been put off. Fine for one night, but there might be a better nearby option for a little more money.

For the price, the service, breakfast and location make this a strong choice. The hotel has three stars and a rich history, and faces Tripoli's main square. It’s surrounded on every side by heroes of the Greek War of Independence. What more could you ask for?

The hotel looked lovely around the Christmas holidays, with nice decor and clean throughout. The staff were kind and friendly, the rooms were great, and breakfast had lots of choices. One of the best places to stay in Tripoli, if not the best.

Areos Square is right outside, in the centre of Tripoli, and the hotel has free parking and Wi-Fi. Our room was spacious, clean and elegantly decorated, with a very comfortable mattress. The bathroom was big, clean and well equipped. The renovation blends historic grandeur with modern comfort and luxury nicely. Staff were polite, smiling and helpful, especially on a rainy day. Good value for money.

We had an amazing view of Areo's square from the rooms. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were polite and ready to help. There’s parking next to the hotel, and its location makes it convenient to explore the city on foot.
